I'm afraid that creating a fake email has made this issue very difficult as a proper email is required to log into the account. In order to change the password a link would need to be sent to this email.

As the email does not exist there would be no way to get the recovery email. I do apologize for having to say this.

Why are Microsoft unable to send recovery details to the email address associated with the account?

Also if it can’t be recovered how do I cancel the Xbox Live subscription because I can’t cancel it via the Xbox or accessing the account

I had a xbox 360 account named Beamishtomcat1 and I forgot the email and password how do I recover it?

Well on my Xbox 1, the account is there but on the Xbox series x. Do you know how to recover it?

if you signed up with a yahoo email address, then a Microsoft Account was created based on that yahoo email address. Which will result in a Microsoft Account with the yahoo email address as ID.
