    Have you tried connecting to a PC or laptop to make sure the drive still works? If the PC/laptop is unable to see it then it could mean the drive has failed.

    My Xbox controller on my Xbox One only connects when plugged into the Xbox if I try to reconnect it with the button on the side of the Xbox and on the controller the Xbox

    Do you have any electronics near the console, maybe an external hard drive or something else that might interfere with the signal? I had a similar issue, when one of my external hard drives was too close to the connect button on the console, and it wouldn't connect to the controller. Once I moved it, it reconnected.

    Do you have an external drive connected to the xbox at boot? My Kinect remains off if I boot the Xbox with my WD external drive plugged in. If I boot the Xbox without the external drive and reconnect it after start up, the Kinect works as normal.
