    how do I play purchased and downloaded games offline


    HI,

    I bought Terraria online and I can only play it if I sign on to live, my network connection is not the best so a lot of frustration unable to play the game I bought.

    Is there away around this or should I only by hard copies of games and stay away from downloads

    Greetings!

    To be sure are you on the Xbox One console? The system link feature was something the Xbox 360 console was capable of but not the Xbox one console.

    On and Xbox One console in order to play all games offline with your account or another account you would need to have the account that owns the content

    set as the Home console    .

    Keep in mind that if you own a disc copy of a game for any system you must have the disc in order to play that game online or offline. If you are missing the disc you will need to repurchase the game digitally.

    Hey allend

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums, and providing that insight.

    As far as launching a game on your Xbox 360, normally the first time you download a title to your console, that console will hold onto that license.

    Everyone in your household will be able to play this title, without having to be signed into your account. However, if you download your this game to another console, you will be the only one that can access this title.

    At this state, you would either have to transfer your licenses to another console manually, or you would have to make sure you have a stable connection to Xbox Live.

    Its Its important that your console it's your home console and that you download the game on that console.

    thanks all for time and effort to reply.

    Forgot to mention, it's an xbox360.

    Also, I think my ongoing hiscore on Bejeweled2 (currently around 6th on global leaderboard: Level 256, 430,091,014 points and still going) might have been erased as game reverted to demo mode and game saves are disabled. Not happy.
