Thx. Will that work even if their Minecraft is on their Amazon tablets. I can’t seem to figure it out without them all having my username as their gamertag.

create a new Microsoft account for each of them, put the correct dates of birth for each account, it will ask for a parental account which will be yours, so they will have their own Microsoft account with their own gamertag and their own email and you will be in charge of them as the main parent.

doing it this way means when they are older they retain their own account and history, their own save games and when they turn 18 it converts to an adult account. you also have full parental controls on what they can do, access and time limits.

Are multiple installations of minecraft necessary for multiple computer users?

    Hello nabenking,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I read the entire thread you posted here in its entirety.

I noticed that there were multiple Microsoft accounts on the same computer, so the first thing I needed to confirm was:

Do your kids use your Microsoft account to log into the computer, and then use their Microsoft account to log into Minecraft Launcher to access the game?

Or do they use their Microsoft account to log into the computer first, and then try to use their Microsoft account to log into Minecraft Launcher and try to get into the game?

In the former case, the problem does not exist.

But if the latter is the case, consider where Minecraft is installed. Whether it is installed in a public location, such as disk D; It's still installed in a restricted location.

When I was testing this issue, I found that when I tried to download and install Minecraft Launcher from the Microsoft Store, the default installation path was:

    c:\XboxGames
If this path is accessible to your children, then they just need to log into the system with their own account, find this path, and open Minecraft Launcher. There is no need to install Minecraft multiple times.

Also, it doesn't make sense to share only the shortcut, as this would result in the path not being found.

    Best regards,

Minecraft: "You cannot play online multiplayer because of how your Microsoft account is set up."

    Hello w0nd3rb0y,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you and your children are having trouble playing Minecraft online. I understand that you have checked the privacy settings and the Xbox Family app, but the problem persists.

There are a few possible reasons why this might happen. One is that your children's accounts may not have a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription, which is required for online multiplayer on Xbox One. Another is that your children may have accidentally signed out of their Microsoft accounts or switched profiles while playing Minecraft. A third possibility is that there is a network issue or a server outage that is preventing online multiplayer from working properly.

To troubleshoot this issue, please follow these steps:

    - Make sure that your children's accounts have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription. You can check this by going to Settings > Account > Subscriptions on your Xbox One console.

    - Make sure that your children are signed in to their Microsoft accounts and using the correct profiles when playing Minecraft. You can check this by pressing the Xbox button on your controller and looking at the top left corner of the screen.

    - Make sure that your network connection is stable and that you have a NAT type of Open or Moderate. You can check this by going to Settings > Network > Network settings on your Xbox One console.

    - Check the Xbox Status | Xbox Support

    - If everything looks fine, try restarting your Xbox One console and launching Minecraft again.

Please see: Minecraft | Xbox Support

Thank you for choosing Xbox and have a great day!
