    How do I know when it is an active preview wave?


    I’m pretty new to all this, i’ve been in the program for over a year, but forgot to actually enter into the rings. I want to upgrade into the next ring, but want to prevent factory settings. How do I know when is the best time to switch when it’s not an active preview wave? Thanks

    June 6 preview program xbox

    The initial wave goes out tonight to some people, and if you signed up for the early wave of previews. You will not know if it's your wave until you get the update. If you have more questions about the Preview Program I would suggest posting in the Preview

    If you opt out of the Preview Program you keep getting updates for the current wave (which is 1610 right now). Once that wave is over, you will be removed, i.e. you won't receive the preview builds for 1611 but you will keep receiving updates until
    the current wave ends. The current wave ends when the update goes to the public, for which there is not yet a date.

    Hi there the only way you could be invited to the next preview wave is if you have a friend in the preview program. Who could invite you by using the invite friend feature in the registration app. Outsider that forum section is not active anymore.

    Get Me Out of the Preview Program

    You can unenroll from the preview program through the Preview Dashboard app. I'm not sure what the current consequence of doing that right now is, you may have to factory reset in order to leave (was this way when the NXOE was being tested) - the alternative
    that has happened in the past is your console will remain in the program until the current wave becomes publicly available, and then it won't receive the next wave of preview updates.
