How do I know if the Windows 11 Xbox app is checking games for updates?

I would highly recommend updating it to Windows 11 and seeing if it can sort out the Xbox app issue. You can do this by going to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates

I was using the latest version of Windows 11, the October update.

Anyways, after checking the disk, checking for Windows updates, defragmenting, and updating the Xbox app, it stopped crashing.

Please answer the following questions to assist you properly:

Is this happening on Windows 10 or 11?

Do you know if your windows system or an app received recently an update?

Besides reinstalling and resetting the app did you tried something else?

This is to avoid giving you the same troubleshooting steps.

In the meantime, double check if your Windows and apps are up to date:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too.

To further isolate the issue, does it happen to Redfall only? How about the other games, do you have an install option with other games on Xbox app?
