how do i get this gaming services stuff to work

If the games are installed, it needs the game service, if it is not working or not installed, it is probably related to the permissions of the profile you created in windows.

try creating another profile with another account and see if it works.

Just a friendly reminder though that in regards to your concern you may need to reach out to the console support so they can guide you with the troubleshooting steps needed if they were able to perform the necessary steps they will be able to check if you will be needing to reach out to the game support which is Mojang that have the capability to check your in-game account.

just put in your account again the xbox download the profile, and reinstall your games.

None of that stuff works, been having problems for over a month now. Where do we go to get a refund for Gold and cancel this service that no longer works?
