How do I get the "Authenticate Now" page to come up so I can type the password for the wifi in?

It sounds like you are trying to connect to the Wi-Fi network using an Xbox console. To connect to a Wi-Fi network on an Xbox console, you can follow these steps:



1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

2. Select Settings, go to Network.

3. Select Set up wireless network.

4. Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to and enter the password if prompted.

5. If you see the Authenticate Now page, try refreshing the page or restarting your console and router.

Ok I got to the login page... Not sure what to do now. Typed in my username and password for my comcast account and I got a "authentication failed" message. I am sure that the username and password I typed in was correct... is there a different login I
need?

I have the exact same problem. Everything else in my house can connect to the internet flawlessly, only my Xbox needs “additional authentication”

Are you connecting in a student dorm WiFi, or an apartment complex that provides WiFi to the inhabitants? It might be, that when you first connected your other devices to the network, you were presented with a welcome page, where you had to authenticate
your devices by agreeing to the WiFi's terms of use, or provide a code or password you got from your landlord or whoever runs the WiFi.

Since that has to be only once, you might have forgotten about it.

If you try to connect the Xbox One to that network, it might require you to visit the portal page again, and authenticate the Xbox access with the WiFi.

Do you enter in your password and then hangs?

Do you have two-factor authentication on your Microsoft Account? If not, you should, two-factor authentication should be on 100% every account that has it, but that's not the focus right now.

If you DO have 2FA, then it might be that you need an app password to log into your 360 since it does not have 2FA features.
