How do i get rid of the username on top of the new one

With regards to the gamertag change you've had, if you are seeing your new gamertag via https://account.xbox.com/profile page correctly then you don't have to worry as it means your gamertag has been changed already.

Based on the Xbox support page https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/account-pro... it states under "Are games supporting the new format?" that Most games started supporting the new format in 2020. It may take a few years to migrate all new games over to the new gamertag format, and some games (particularly titles that came out prior to or around the change) may continue to use the older gamertag system, so you may notice your gamertag appearing different while playing those specific titles.

But if you are still having problem with your gamertag or not even seeing the new one, you may contact the Xbox support team directly via https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us

On the page, click on "Contact us" > Subscriptions & billing > I can't redeem a code > Type in "Support" then there you should see option to message or request a callback from the Xbox team. The option I provided here is diferent, this is just a way to easily find the option to reach the Xbox support.

I do like the new currency change but i think they need to do what sony are doing now because you can still buy msp in shops so they need to get rid of them and replace them with £ Value top ups

The new presenter is much better.Just get rid of the idiot that does the Top 5's then the show would be quite good.
