How do I get my xbox series x controller to connect back to my console?

We may need to perform a powercycle on your console and re-sync.

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

Press and hold the sync button on both Xbox and controller.

My controller stop working too series x , factory controller . Last night working and today my samsung tv remote control my xbox and the xbox controller no longuer view by the xbox , i use another controller from my other xbox seris s , and this controller work but not the one work last night , i try the little button to match xbox with but nothing , the controller do no longuer view on my xbox series x , can control de series s but can't be view or connect to the series x anymore

Geri, I'm not sure if you still are receiving this thread but I did get my replacement Xbox controller today and I hooked it up to my series X and everything worked fine except that there is no sound coming through my wired headphones. These are Arctis Prime Steel Series wired headphones that worked fine with all my other controllers and just recently with my Xbox series X controller but when I connected to the Elite control they sent me it does there's no sound coming through. I cleaned the port a harder rebooted my Xbox Series X I updated the firmware and still no results.

Do you have any suggestions?

Ok still getting the same issues on both series X consoles with 4 controllers between them.

The only thing I didn't do is set the console as my home one. The reason being we have 4 consoles in the house and i have to set up a differemt onr as hime console so my kids can use gold live as guests. If inset one of the 2 series x as my home then they can't use gold Live on the others..

Im getting blank screens amd cant even fo back to the xbox hime page from it sometimes and have to reset the console. Then it tries to quick resume me back into the game amd i cant do anything as it still doesn't allow me to use the controller. Incant leave or quit so have to turn off the xbox at the wall and hooe that works

So I just updated my PC, checked the USB drivers, updated the elite controller, and cable tested but not sure how to see if the Xbox companion is updated or even do an update but everything looks good. I also connected my normal Xbox X series controller to my PC with the same cable and it's working fine, I'm having no issues with the LB button or any other buttons for that matter... Maybe I'm not noticing the issue when I use the elite controller on my Xbox series X. Might be an issue with the controller but I'm not sure what else there is to do before requesting a repair from microsoft.
