How do I get my parent approved game to download?

    Hello SznJune,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We understand that you are trying to download BattleBlock Theater on your console. If your parents has already approve the download you may try the following troubleshooting:

    Check your internet connection:

Make sure that your Xbox is connected to the internet and that your internet connection is stable.

    Restart your Xbox:

Try restarting your Xbox and then attempting to download the game again.

    Clear your Xbox cache:

Clearing your Xbox cache can sometimes help with download issues.

To do this, go to Settings > System > Storage > Clear local Xbox 360 storage.

Another thing is that your father's approval should be done through Microsoft Family Safety app or Microsoft Family site. Please see this support article: Managing parental consent - Microsoft Support.

As this game is suitable for teen (13 and up), please try to install free games on Xbox that is for suitable for all. See this list for reference: Free to Play Games | Xbox.

Let me know if you can download the other games. If issue persists, please let us know any error message and NAT Type you are seeing on your Xbox Network. Please follow the steps below:

    • Kindly go to Xbox Console's Settings.
    • Select Network and Network Settings.
    • Look for NAT Type.
    • Please reply with a screenshot or picture of the Xbox Network.

Should you be playing on PC instead of console, please know that the Buy BattleBlock Theater | Xbox is on Xbox console version.

    Sincerely,

How do I get a game that was approved by my parent but it won’t show up

    Hello JACK Pickett,

    Greetings!

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

Based on the description, you are trying to purchase the game after it has been approved by parent under Xbox Family settings app and the game won't up. Let us check and see on what we can do to help resolve your concern in a timely manner.

If we may ask, what specific game are you trying to purchase? You can turn off " Ask to buy" feature under the Xbox Family settings app. To do so, the parent's account or organizer under Xbox Family settings app must change the settings. Here are the steps:

    • Sign in to your Family page with an adult Microsoft account.

      Family page settings
    • Find the child's name and select More options > Spending.
    • Under the Ask to buy section, switch Needs organizer approval to buy things to Off.
If after changing the settings and still can't make any purchase of the game, you can try to purchase by using New Inprivate Window of your browser or use different device. If the issue still persists, you can ask your parent to make the purchase or we may need the assistance from our live support channel for further assistance.

For your reference, see: Purchase settings for child accounts | Xbox Support

We look forward to your response. Kindly let us know, if there is any misunderstanding or clarifications of our description by sending us a reply.

    Sincerely,
