How do I get my new Xbox series x up and running?

Just bought my Xbox series x and downloaded upgrade and now it's asking me to sign in by visiting the https://www.microsoft.com/link and when asked enter the 8 digit code but when I do as instructed there is no place to give my code to and can't do anything on my console. What do I need to do?

My internet speed is 1Gbps and my series x is plugged into the router via ethernet. But, My series x is only getting 200mbps with nobody on any devices and no games running in the background. Additionally, the latency on my series x never gets below 60ms whilst my other devices get as low as 9 ms. How do I fix this speed discrepancy on my series x.
