How do I get my money back from a refund

Please verify the refund status by visiting the Microsoft Account Order History page: https://account.microsoft.com>; Order history and log in with your account.

Check the status of your refund request. If it says "Approved," the refund should have been processed.

And to give you a heads up, refunds made using Xbox credit are returned back to your Microsoft money right away/immediately.

For credit/debit card the refund may take 3-5 business days to be added back to your card but it will still depend on your Bank's billing cycle.
