How do I get my Hololens 2 to turn on?

We have 5 hololens 2s in the lab. I plugged them in for charging lately, and when I came to turn them on, they are completely dead, even though the battery seems to be charged (all five lights are on when plugged in). Pressing the power on, just turns the five lights on, but the device does not turn on. I have tried the reset process, and all combinations suggested of power button and volume up, but nothing changes. The device is just dead.

One device, I might think it was a dud battery or something, but all of them seem to be acting the same. The only thing I can think of is that there seemed to be an update waiting to be installed, but I had not initiated the update yet.

Hi Marissa,

As far as I know, unfortunately there’s currently no specific setting to turn off eye tracking for HoloLens. You may experience performance issues if, for whatever reason, the calibration isn’t successful. I don’t believe there’s a workaround to this though.

To clarify, are you referring to the original HoloLens (2016) or HoloLens 2 (2019)? I can’t seem find to find many on the original, but I imagine there’s not a significant difference and the main features are still the same.
