How do I get in game purchase refunded to a store credit? I do not own an XBox.

Hello again, to request a refund for your game you will need to login to your account where you purchased the game or subscription and complete this form below for a refund, you will also need the order code for each item you wish to refund.

There, all you have to do is follow all the requirements requested when filling in the form, and then wait for an email with a response to the request.

This can take up to 72 hours.

I'm fairly certain that Xbox doesn't do retail itself, you probably made the purchase through the Microsoft Store, if so you would have been better off contacting Microsoft Store support.

Refunds take up to 3 days to get to your bank, then your bank can take up to a month to get it to you if they feel like it. This is not an Xbox thing, it's how credit card refunds work.

After you submit this form, you’ll receive confirmation and follow-up emails that’ll include instructions on how you can keep track of the status of your request. They will send you a response with the refund decision within 72 hours, as filling the form doesn't automatically qualify you to get it.
