How do I get bedrock and Java when after having minecraft for windows?

Also again my order history will NOT say I purchased Minecraft because I did not. As stated before, I got minecraft bedrock because Mojang gave a free code to redeem Bedrock for all Mojang users that purchased Java Edition before a certain date see article below:

I did redeem this code, so again what gives?

I'd forgot to mention that I had bought Minecraft Java on a different account. But after losing that account I had made a new account. When I switched over, I was given Minecraft bedrock (Minecraft windows 10 edition) not Minecraft Java.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. It is possible that the account you're using is not the same account where the game was purchased before. Minecraft Bedrock Edition can be shared, but Minecraft: Java Edition cannot be shared because it is not part of the Microsoft Store. The situation on your PC could be that the main account where the game was purchased is not signed in to the PC so you're not able to share Bedrock.

In this case, it is best to check your Microsoft account's order history. Please sign in your Microsoft account in the link and check if the current account you're using has Minecraft for Windows. Please make sure to set the filter to "All Available". https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

Hi Victor. I don’t know how you played Java in the past. Maybe it was via game pass.
But if the game doesn’t appear purchased in your order history, it means that you don’t know it.

About the Xbox edition, yes. It’s bedrock, but it’s the Bedrock for Xbox, not Windows

The free Java edition was granted to the people who purchased Bedrock for windows.
Any other platform is not eligible, only PC (and the opposite if you owned Java)

Hi, quick question. So how exactly do I know if I have the Windows version vs the Bedrock version on my pc? Because I installed the new minecraft launcher, and according to it, I have the windows edition of minecraft, even though I have minecraft on my xbox. Would I just be unable to get a free java edition?
