How do I get back onto a stolen Minecraft account?

After an account migration, it is most likely that your Minecraft account is associated with a Microsoft account as Mojang had announced that migration would affect all Minecraft and Mojang accounts to Microsoft accounts to improve security and to add other safety features.

You can still try to retrieve your Microsoft account that is possibly associated with your Minecraft account by submitting a request via the account reinstatement form here on this link:

After submitting the request, you will receive an update from a Microsoft employee within 24 - 72 hours.

ARE MINECRAFT ACCOUNTS BEING STOLEN OR IS MICROSOFT STORE COMPROMISED

Hi , This account has been in use on the same email account for at least 5 years .The Email attached to this account has never changed : I have used this email for 25 years . The Gamer Tag is FallAsteroid497 , as far as I remember this has been in use for several years . I vaguely remember having to reclaim this account about 5 years ago , I can't remember if it was due to Minecraft changes or if the account had been hacked or stolen . I have had to do a new install and have never had an issue in the past . Syears or more . what has Microsoft done to Stuff things up ? XBOX says it is a Windows account that I own , I can sign in to Microsoft store and it recognises the email and the Gamer tag . Xbox also recognises the account details , The last purchase I made was to be able to use this account on My Daughters IPAD . My understanding was the payment I made enabled this account to be used on all mediums , IPAD , Windows , Phones etc . Previously we had only used it on windows and an Android Tablet . This Android Tablet was stolen 18 months ago Nut as I logged the account out and changed the password it should not cause problems 18 months later >

Managed to get old laptop up and running , it cannot connect Minecraft now either and all details have been removed from Microsoft store . I opened the Minecraft data Files and will attach the client ID here

You should contact Mojang support, not Microsoft support, for Minecraft account issues. Submit a request – Minecraft Feedback.

Thank you for your suggestion but my problem is that somehow my minecraft account has been removed from my microsoft account. There isnt a microsoft account that I need to reocover but specifically a minecraft one. Furthermore I dont know how many more times I need to contact Xbox support until they actually help me, multiple times they have said that theyll email me back with more info or that theyll move my request up to a higher office or the likes and I end up never hearing from them again.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to try help me but I have the feeling that nothing besides getting in contact with an actual human being that will reply to my emails is my only solution but so far my last dozen or so attempts have been in vain. Once again I dont really understand why this whole proccess is so difficult, I have proof that the account was bought by me and proof that it was my account so I dont understand all the hold-up.

Overall I have been immeasurably disappointed with Xbox and Microsoft support, they have not only not helped but been rude by just never replying again.

Similar thing happened a year or two ago with my steam account and I got that back within a weekend. It has been nearly 8 months and over 12 different attempts to get it back and so far ZERO progress has been made.

I hope you atleast can have a merry Christmas as mine is going to be marred by poor customer service and the loss of a 10 year old account.
