How do I get a refund if I spell my gamer tag wrong

So I went ahead and bought a new gamer tag and it shows “sorry, something went wrong. Try your gamer tag again.” But I look at my card and it charged me 10$ but my gamer tag didn’t change?

I'm having a different type of issue. The gamer tag that is associated with my email is wrong and I've never used it before. However,on my xbox, the correct gamer tag is there as well as the correct email address. How do I fix this?
