    How do I fully shut down the Series S?


    How do you fully shut down the Series S? I dont mean put it in a low power state. I want to completley shut down so its no longer drawing any power. I have watched serveral Youtube videos which show a Full Shutdown option in the power menu, but this does not show in the menu on my XBox?

    Full shutdown still put it in energy saving

    I'm sorry but these small bit of power is needed for proper functioning and startup

    If you want to use zero power I suggest you plug it into a power strip and hit the switch

    Choose Energy saving

    Please note it still uses half a watt to perform startup functions and listen for the controller wakeup call.

    Well no it wouldnt show you would just click shutdown when you select the xbox button

    As mentioned it does keep phantom power to keep it from recognizing the controller when you press the xbox button on it to turn on the xbox

    Follow swords suggestion if you want zero watts

    Keep in mind 0.5watt per hour means xbox uses less power shutdown in a year then your tv in an hour Off

    While your at it your microwave too fyi it's not healthy for modern electronics to have zero power for too long

    When you plug them back in it shocks thr system which is why brown outs kill electronics

    How do I fully shut down the Series S?

    Yes I know it still draws 0.5w that why I asked how to completley shut it down and the energy saving setting is not a full shutdown, there used to be an option for full shutdown in the power menu but its no longer there. I assume its hidden somewhere in another menu now for some reason. I dont use the console at all during the week so I need to be able to fully shut it down during those times.
