    How do I fix Xbox game bar recording not working?


    So usually to record a screen recording I use xbox game bar, anyway so today I was planning to screen record but it wont record. Xbox game bar doesnt say anything it just does not record, ive tried making some storage on my laptop because i thought that may be the problem but it still wont record. Also the buttons on the capture tab only the mute/unmute button is clickable, the rest are dull (hopefully you know what i mean, like it shows you can click on it). Ive tried alt+r+windows key and windows key+g then pressed record but nothing is working. There are no available updates, i've reset the app and repaired it. I've looked on youtube and google for how to find this, can someone please help me out?

    Hi tamiya008!

    Sorry to hear about the issue. Have you already tried the steps below?

    Close the game.
    In the search box on the Windows taskbar, type and then select Task Manager.
    Select More details.
    In the list of running processes, select the Broadcast bar server (bcastdvr.exe) process (if it's still there), and then select End task.
    Restart your game and try recording again.

    Make sure as well that you have setup correctly your Game Bar. Check all the suggested troubleshooting steps here https://support.xbox.com/help/games-apps/game-s...

    I do not have a problem using the keys in game, the game bar would not recording the game, and when i hit record it would lag and not record. I have already tried using the page you provided for help. Nothing has worked, the only way to fix it is restart
    my PC.
