How do I fix this dark and blurry screen?

I turned my Xbox on today and it came on like this. I’ve tried restarting my Xbox (hard restart as well). If I hard restart it it’ll be back to normal in low resolution but as soon as I change it it turns back to this.

If I open up Elden Ring (Disc) then it goes back to normal but if I load up Fortnite (download), then it stays like this.

How do I fix this?

Make sure that your TV or display is set to the correct input. Sometimes, the issue can be as simple as the TV being set to the wrong input.

Check the HDMI cable and make sure that it is securely connected to both the Xbox and the TV. If the cable is loose or damaged, it could cause video issues.

Make sure that your TV or display supports the resolution and refresh rate that you have set in the Xbox settings. If the TV or display does not support the selected resolution or refresh rate, it could cause video issues.

Try restarting your Xbox and see if that resolves the issue. If the issue persists after a restart, try performing a power cycle on your Xbox. To do this, press and hold the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until it turns off, then unplug the power cord and wait 10 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and turn the console on.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, you may want to try a different HDMI cable or a different TV or display to see if that resolves the issue.

I tried the restarting and it worked when it came back on in low resolution. As soon as I changed the resolution it went back to the above picture.(My TV supports the 4k ultra)

It’s not a tv or HDMI problem as it works with the disc game I have in the console but not the downloaded game I have on it.

Do you happen to have HDR turned on? If so, turn it off and see if it changes.

This helped the tv had to be set to movie and game mode.. it was a setting on the tv. Thank You!!
