    how do i fix the rear usb ports on my xbox


    the usb ports on my xbox dont seem to work because they look like theyre working with a wired controller or charger. one of my controllers flashes on and off and doesnt work but lights up like its getting power and im confused. it also doesnt work with
    an external hardrive and only works with the side one. please help

    HELP ME! Xbox 1X keeps switching back on ??

    Turns out it had something to do with the usb port, I play wired and had my controller plugged into the front port, I switched to a rear port now everything is back to normal. Solved!

    You could maybe use the USB ports on the rear of the Xbox ?

    2 different thumb drives won't fit in Xbox 4 GB 360S USB ports

    As a couple of other people have mentioned It is because of the 360 casing around the rear USB ports. A lot of flash drives have a wide outer casing which will hit into the rear 360 casing before the USB is fully inserted.



    The only options you have is to use the front usb ports which have no problems as I have 2 flash drives in them or use a USB extension cable for the rear ports

    console won't recognize a new usb memory storage device

    Also are you plugging it in to the rear or front usb ports. if the rear ones dont always read usb sticks for some reason
