how do i fix the connection to my wired cable to my xbox.

I thought it may have been my ethernet cable because my Xbox One can't connect wired, but can connect through wireless, so I tried using a different ethernet cable and it didn't fix it. I used to be able to sign into Xbox Live on both my Xbox 360 and Xbox
One wired, but it stopped working about a month ago and I haven;t changed anything on my modem, it's weird :S

Try a new cable. It could be your cable is fine but losing its connection intermittently. I also have a wired connection to my xbox from my cable modem. If it ever disconnects, first I check my PC to see if I lost the internet, if that is ok, I check my
router (which a simple reboot helps). Otherwise, the simpliest "fix" is either resetting the ethernet cable (pull out, put back in) or try a new one, then do the network test on XBOX.

I am having the same issue. My wireless works fine, but I wanted to do a wired so it would be faster and a better connection. I plug the network cable into the xbox and it got to wired, then after a few seconds its goes to not connected, a few seconds latter its back to wired and so on. It just keeps going through this cycle. There is not enough time while connected to run the connection test. Is this a IPv4 problem, if so how do we change it to IPv6? Also, when I plug the network cable into the computer, it works just fine.

Had same problem after connecting xbox to wired network for the 1st time (after new dashboard) unplugged network cable and connected to wireless and the controller connects, then plug wired connection back in. Have to do this every time i turn on, hope this
works as a temp fix till microsoft fix the problem

I tried connecting it with a cable to my Xbox and it won't detect it. I also tried to connect it wirelessly to my phone and it connects but the white light on the controller keeps flashing, and it won't do anything. It only works when I connect it with a cable on my pc. It doesn't work on any other device wired or wireless.
