How do i fix “Status Connecting to Xbox network” notice on war zone xbox

May I know if the issue happens to your other games? Are you able to play your other games online just fine?

Let's test first your network connection.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.
Select Test network connection.
Try to test your NAT and multiplayer as well.

Let me know what will be the results.

Please also try to power cycle your console to clear the system cache.
Press and hold Xbox's power button for 10 sec until it turns off. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

Please do the same with your router. Unplug it from the power source for at least a minute before turning it back on.

Also what region are you trying to connect from? I noticed that from your network test it shows there is a service alert under the Xbox live status.

By the way, I completely agree with you both you guys' reasoning. Except that as I read Halo Waypoint posts, this problem was happening to specific regions (Brazil, UK and Japan) and not others. Also my NAT type has been open in all scenarios. This led
me to trying the VPN just to attempt to get War Zone to connect to a different server. And presto, it's working, whether its even to a different server I don't know. What I do know is that when War Zone thinks I am in HK, it works. When War Zone thinks I am
in Japan, it doesn't despite the MUCH better connection. I would hypothesize there's a larger issue with War Zone going on.

Ideas? I verified again this morning that War Zone matchmaking is not working while Arena is unless I use the VPN.
