I booted up my Xbox One today and as soon as the initial loading screen popped up I noticed it was very dark. I could barely read the word "XBox". Once I got to my home screen the problem did not go away. I couldnt see my background at all and the apps were all very dark and had a red hue to them. Loading into a game I have the same visual problem.

There are no problems with the controls or anything, just the video. I've tried switching to a different port and HDMI cord, soft resetting my Xbox, done 3 power cycles and plugged it into different outlets.

I was playing on my Xbox just fine last night and to my knowledge I have not changed anything since then to make it do this. It is currently unplayable as I can't see anything. Just trying to figure out what to do now

Kindly try the steps below and see if it helps;

1. By pressing the Xbox button on your controller, you may access the "Settings" menu and check your display settings. Choose "Display & sound" and make the necessary adjustments after that. To enhance the image quality, you might need to change the brightness or contrast settings.

2. Push and hold the Xbox button on your console until the power menu appears to restart your Xbox One. Choose "Restart console," then confirm your choice. This could assist in resetting any damaged video output settings.

3. Make sure your HDMI cable is connected correctly to your console and display by checking it. To test whether it fixes the problem, try an alternative HDMI cable or port.

4. Attach your Xbox One to a different monitor and see whether the problem still exists. If the image quality is worse on a different display, your primary display may be the source of the issue.

my problem is when ever i choose my storage the screen gets dark then when i enter a world it wont let me use the right joystick, how do i fix this?

On the Xbox, you can't sync your lights to games with this app. On the Xbox, each game and app run in separate virtual machines, and can't know of each other.

In order for the Hue Dynamic app to sync your Hue lights to the action on screen in a game, the app needs to "see" what's on screen, either via a camera or via a capture app. Both options don't work on the Xbox One.

If you want to experience the effect of Hue being synced to your gaming, you can get the game "Chariot", which supports Hue lights natively in the game itself
without the need for an app.

The Hue Dynamic app on the Xbox One simply allows you to control your Hue lights manually, or to start a scene that was added to your Hue hub. But for game syncing, you will have to use it with games you play on your PC.

P.S.: I own Hue Lights, and can confirm that the app only allows you to control your lamps manually or via set scenes. No game syncing is possible on the Xbox One, but Chariot with Hue support in a dark room is really fun.

Thanks for the reply. I will try that now. My console is just working through it. Do you know why the hue of my screen has changed? The colour has gone totally Magento in colour?!

I'll reboot again and check my screen settings first.
