How Do I Fix my PC Game Bar?

I understand that you are experiencing issues with your gamebar.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please check game bar settings. Make sure that the Game Bar is enabled. Go to Settings > Gaming > Xbox Game Bar and toggle it on.

And then repair or reset the app. To do this, open Settings > Apps > Installed Apps. Find Xbox Game Bar, click on it, and select "Advanced Options."

Choose "Repair" first. If that doesn't work, select "Reset."

Next is to update Windows. Please ensure that your Windows is up-to-date. Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates.

Then uninstall and then reinstall Xbox Game Bar by opening PowerShell as an administrator.

Run the command: Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay* | Remove-AppxPackage.

Reinstall it from the Microsoft Store.

After that is to ensure that your internet connection is stable. If there is a need to restart your router to refresh your network connection, please do it.

Kindly close unnecessary apps running in the background that might interfere with Game Bar.

When did this issue start to occur?
Did you get any error message or error code?

Let's reset your connection instead:
Select the Windows logo key on your device or keyboard, or you can select the Windows key in the lower-left corner of the main screen.
Select Settings > Network & internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset > Reset now.

Please also reset your router/modem by turning it off and unplugging it from its power source for few minutes before turning it back on.

Don't forget to install the latest updates of your Windows and get all available updates from the Microsoft Store.

Then, reset and repair your game bar again:

Press the Windows Key+X > Settings > System > System Components > Search for Game Bar > click the three dots ... > Advanced > Restore

Then, on the same page, press Repair.

After that, please, download the Gaming Services Repair tool:

Once downloaded, execute the file by right-clicking on it and selecting Run as Administrator.

Follow the prompts and check if the issue was resolved.
