How do I fix my party?

Hello DanielleRachael, is that weird, the party that is would be that of Xbox groups or would it be within some game?

That person who joins the party she plays on the same platform as you (Xbox Console), or on another, for example PC etc?

Sorry to hear about your issue. Let's try some steps that might help. Kindly go to your Xbox Settings. Select Network Settings > Advanced Settings. Under Change Settings select Alternate MAC Address> select Clear. Allow the console to restart when prompted then try to check your Xbox party again.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues connecting to parties on your Xbox Series X. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:



1. Check for Xbox Live service alerts

Sometimes, Xbox Live may experience service disruptions that can affect party chat. You can check the Xbox Live status page to see if there are any known issues.



2. Restart your Xbox

Try restarting your Xbox Series X by holding down the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off, then turn it back on and try joining a party again.



3. Check your network connection

Make sure your Xbox is connected to the internet and that your network connection is stable. You can try resetting your modem/router or connecting your Xbox directly to your modem with an Ethernet cable to see if that helps.



4. Clear your Xbox cache

Clearing your Xbox cache can sometimes help resolve connectivity issues. To do this, go to Settings > System > Storage > Clear local saved games.



If the issue still persists, try to reset your console.

1. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, and then go to Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
   
2. Select Reset console.
   
3. On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:
   
   • Reset and remove everything. This option resets the console to factory settings. All user data, including accounts, saved games, settings, home Xbox associations, and all installed content will be deleted. Use this option when selling or gifting the console, or as a last resort in some troubleshooting cases.
     
   • Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It resets the OS and deletes all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps.
     
   • Cancel. To back out of this screen, simply select the Cancel button. No action has been taken at this point. This is a safe exit from this screen.
