    How do i fix my MediaTek mt7921 wireless Lan Card


    Hi. I have owned this Asus Tuff gaming laptop for a while (2 months or longer) and after 1 month from the purchase my MediaTek Wireless Lan Card has been disconnecting and when i reconnect it it stays on for like 2 minutes and disappears from device manager.

    I have tried all tips and tricks from youtube and from these community posts (microsoft, asus and intel etc) and none of the tips have worked.

    I tried installing other versions of the driver but resulted the same issue so now im completely out of ways to fix this (if i even can).

    I even selected my BIOS settings to default and still the issue continued.

    I have this issue pretty much when i open a game and for like 10 minutes the internet adapter disappears from device manager and i have to restart my laptop.

    I'm having a problem on Windows 8.1 Pro x64 I with the mediatek driver too. I installed it and just had the device manager go online and find the driver. I've had several crashes, an instant reboot and I just woke up to a reboot and crashdump.

    how do you connect to the internet, via LAN or wirelessly?
    If you connect via wi-fi the interference with the headset is possible because both the wireless network card and the wireless headset work in the same frequency band.
    Access the router> wireless section and try changing the radio channel wi-fi.If you use the 2.4 GHz band, set a fixed channel choosing between 1, 6 and 11.

    The wireless adapter driver downloaded from Windows update is the right Mediatek driver and should be the best driver to use optimized for the controller scenarios. The mt7612U driver is the general wireless driver which may not work under certain circumstances
