How do i fix my gamesharing?

So i gameshare with a friend and it doesn't work. For some reason both times we've done this it works perfect for a few weeks then stops. But whats strange is it works if im logged into both his account and mine and boot up a game, its just that it stops working the second hes not signed in. Now he plays too so of course i can't just do that. I've checked that my xbox is his home xbox, ive factory reset the xbox several times, im confident this game can be gameshared because it works for 3 weeks, plus my other friend shares the same game with his brother, and has for years with no issue. And i know resetting my xbox to be his home again would work. But that would be a temporary fix for a few weeks before it breaks again, and with a limited number of switches every year thats more just putting a bandaid on it for it to persist as an issue. Ive contacted xbox support and was told that my issue would be "escalated" whatever that means, and should only take a day but that was several days ago without hearing a word back. I'd just like to play games with my friend, please help with any way this can be fixed. Sorry for such a long post but this is just so annoying to deal with and i dont want to keep getting some false hope of help with this, thank you
