How do I fix/factory reset controller?

I have 2 series x controllers, one of which turns on but none of the inputs register, I've taken out the batteries swapped with new also just did the 5-10 power off and turn back on method but besides powering up the console that's it home button and all other buttons don't work how do I fix this issue (I've tried plugging straight into the console same result) my other controller works perfectly

Hi Fishay F! I hope you are well, delighted to be able to offer you my help!

We're sorry you can't add your account to the console again. Continue by powering off and unplugging the console, unplugging the network hardware, and turning off both devices for approximately 2 minutes. After 2 minutes, reboot the network hardware and wait for the service to resume. Once the service is restored, restart the console and try again.

Yes, you should be able to re-download any games that you have purchased after doing a factory reset on your Xbox. When you sign in to your Xbox account after the reset, you should see all of your purchased games available for download in the "Ready to install" section of the "My games and apps" menu.
