Hi Dericka, thank you for the help. I tried resetting my Xfinity router and get the same black screen with sounds from the XBox. I do have Xfinity WiFi router with an Xfinity pod to extend coverage and the laptop connects to the pod when I'm upstairs in our bedroom. I suspect it isn't working because it's connected to the pod, but there is no way to control if it connects to the pod or main gateway unless I unplug the pod and that creates other problems for things connected to WiFi. Any other ideas?

I just tried that. Still get error saying "We found your console, but can't connect. Try from a different Wi-Fi or cellular network."
