How do I fix an add on that won’t give me the weapons for the game..

Hi Alexander! Sorry to hear about the issue.

Let's make sure first that you don't have any missing contents to be installed to your game for it to work correctly.

In My games & apps, highlight a game (but don't select it).
Press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game and add-ons.
Select the game in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Choose Manage installation on [drive name]. This displays a list of items, including the base game and any available add-ons or game features.

Note: Items listed under “More add-ons” can't be installed. Instead, they are owned items that automatically become accessible when in-game.

Select the tick-box for each item that you want to install or select all.
Select Save changes.

Wait until they're finished installing.

Then power cycle your console. Press and hold Xbox's power button for 10 sec. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

is it just some combo weapons? I've given some combo weapons to survivors (the coat rack spear thing)

When it says "give item" I just tap the B button and it gives it to them. What ever you have in your hand is what you will give them.

Also note there are some things you can't give to followers, such as some combo weapons - and they'll never take a super combo from you.
