How do I fix a black screen after I cleared my Mac address

I cleared my alternate MAC address and after I restarted it my screen is just black, the only thing that works is when I hold down the Xbox button on my controller and the power options show up.

MateusFontana Independent Advisor posted a solution to a user who had a similar issue:

"Unfortunately, the factory reset is the only solution for this, because when this happens the system bricks, where it is not possible to access anything to undo. I understand how frustrating this can be, as I'm also a player and I've been through this.

*I ask you to try again the factory reset, because really in this case is the only way to solve.

1. Turn off Xbox One.

2. Unplug power.

3. Plug the power back to Xbox One 30 seconds later.

4. Press and hold Bind and Eject at the same time (don't release).

5. Press and release the Power button, and then you will hear the startup chime.

6. When you hear the second startup chime, you can release the bind and eject buttons.

7. Select Reset this Xbox on the screen.

8. Select Keep games and apps.

I’m sorry I’m afraid the screen is still black, I had the green boot up screen but it’s still just a black screen.

Please proceed to do a power cycle to fix the issue

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button  on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button  on the console or the Xbox button  on your controller.

If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

Important If your console is in Sleep mode, the above steps will shut the console off completely. Sleep mode, or the ability to turn on your console by saying "Xbox on," won't be enabled until you restart the console.

Hello,

And thank you for you detailed response. I will try it. However as mentioned on my post. The restart console option does not work. When I click clear Mac address it says I have to restart it. When I do that the logo comes up. And then all I get is a black
screen. So I end up turn it off completely and turn it on again. Not sure if that would clear the mac address?
