How do I finish initial update on xbox one s?

In that case, try to contact your ISP and then check with them if all of the ports are opened on your router. It is most likely that the issue you are having is related to a blocked connection.

You can also try to take your console to some place that has a different ISP, and then check if the updates goes through correctly.

The error code you are getting means that there's an issue connecting to the Xbox Live services. Most likely, it means that your internet connection isn't allowing your console to connect to the servers. You can try to connect your console to a hotspot on your phone (which should be connected to 4G/5G) and then check if the console updates. If you can't do that, you need to call your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and request them to open these ports on their modem/router:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port 4500 (UDP)

I have the same problem with my new xbox one s. I cant get the initial system update to download.
