How do i find the setting that controls the wifi connection ?

If you have access to go into your router settings see if the router itself is blocking the Xbox from connecting via wifi. you may need to search around a bit to find out how to do this if you do not already know.

I am not really aware as to how you can see that. I've never seen anything saying "limited network" in my router setting page or on any device that's connected to our Wifi. How do i find out if it is limited? Kinda a noob concerning Network stuff.

Don't know how true it is, but someone said in a youtube vid that the wireless 360 controllers connected via RF and the X1 controllers connected via wifi.

So in a home where the distance from the console to where the gamer was setting was beyond, for example 5 or more feet. The X1 Wifi connectiing the console to the controller was weak which could cause disconnects.

I don't actually own an Xbox One but do know that from 20 feet away, (Farthest away I can actually get) the 360 controller works as good as it would from 7 feet away from the console.

Enter your hidden SSID, wait a few seconds, press Xbox/guide button, return to Network Settings and the network name should be visible on the list so you can choose it and enter the password
