    How do I enable Ray Tracing on Minecraft Windows 11?


    First I installed Xbox Insider and went to Previews, and Minecraft wasn't there. Then I went to Minecraft and installed The Observer world from Nvidia from the marketplace, joined the world enabling The Observer Resource Pack and turned on Ray Tracing in video settings, and everything was extremely dark. I put down glowstone and a sea lantern and no light came out.

    Xbox Series X/S ray tracing

    Ok so only certain games will have ray tracing? Do you know if any games that were on the xbox one will be capable of it on the series s/x? Also I’ve seen videos showing the series X’s ray tracing abilities and they used minecraft as an example. Do you now
    if this is real and if minecraft will support ray tracing or is this unconfirmed?

    One of the main reasons I plan on buying one of the new consoles is for the ray tracing abilities (especially on minecraft)

    Ray Tracing

    Hi,

    Ray Tracing is on a per-game basis on both the Series S and the Series X. Some games have it, some do not. If a game has Ray Tracing it will normally be in it's options menu. Some games such as Watch Dogs Legion have ray tracing enabled by default.

    Unlike Series X, the S model does not have RT for some games that the Series X has.

    You need to download the new version, Minecraft Preview, that contains both windows and java

    You may need to download insider builds for ray tracing
