all the OS's are based on Unix. I am just waiting for easy anticheat to fully work via linux which it does work on most games now then i am ditching windows, halo mcc and sea of thieves works fine on linux now and a host of other games, all my games are via steam and other apps like gog, most of them i can get running smoothly on linux via proton layer.

Windows the OS is originally built off of Linux core. So is MacOS. Just because you can’t open Term in Windows and use “ls” doesn't mean that one isn’t derived off the other.
