How do I download my Xbox Live account?

So, I just bought a Xbox one because I wanted to play Skate 3. After a long day of work, I got home and it’s around 12 am that I’m setting everything up. After everything is setup, I buy Skate 3. I load it up and this is where the problems begin.

It says I need to download my account. So I go ahead and start doing everything and then it tells me my password is incorrect…when it’s not. So y’know I reset my password and try again. Nothing.

…I have spent about 5 hours now trying to figure this out. Nothing has worked. I’ve scoured the internet going through outdated forums that talk about methods that just don’t work anymore. I need an updated method on how to fix this problem. People keep talking about “app passwords” when an option for that doesn’t even exist. I did however find something of the sorts, and it generated an app pass that DOESN’T FIT INTO THE XBOX 360 KEYBOARD. IT’S TOO LONG. IT’S AN ENDLESS CYCLE.

I’ve set up my 2FA over and over, I’ve reset my password to the point where I’ve almost lost my account, I’ve restarted my console, I’ve unplugged everything and waited 5 minutes, I even turned off auto-renewal (ifykyk) and nothing is working.

I just want to play Skate 3.

I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

To fix login problems on Xbox 360 you can check the following information.

- If you have 2-Step Verification enabled, try disabling it momentarily and try launching the game.

- If your password is longer than 12 characters, try setting a shorter password and test the game.

- If you have more than 100 friends within Xbox Live, try deleting some to get below 100 and try launching the game.

Additionally, was the “App Password” you generated from this section?

Xbox Live is not something you download. It's the service Xbox uses to connect online. If your system is connected to the internet and you are signed in, you're using Live. If you want to play online multiplayer, you would purchase a Gold subscription
to use Live in games.

Hi, if you delete and download your profile again the passcode will be gone. Be sure to delete profile only when you do this please.
