How do I download games from CD's?

We understand that you are having issue on downloading games on your PC. However, before we proceed, I would require some more information to assist you better.

1. When did the issue started?
   
2. Is this happening on all games?
   
3. Are there any changes made that may cause the problem?
   
4. What windows version are you using?
   

Windows 10 is designed to run most of the apps, games or programs. However, if there is any issue with running them, you can always install in compatibility mode. To do so, follow these steps.

1. Right-click on the game setup (.exe) file and click on ‘properties’.
   
2. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select the previous Windows operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.
   
3. Once this is done, restart the computer and check.

Yes i do have gold, i can play games downloaded from the store, the problem is with the games on cd...

Even if you download the game directly from the CD, the CD still needs to be in the console. This prevents gamers from buying or borrowing the game, downloading it on their hard drive, and returning the game to the store or owner.

If you buy any games on Xbox Live Game Market, it’ll be registered to you on your account to download any time. So if you’re worried about a damaged used MW2 CD, in some rare cases it does happen even with NEW CDs, just download MW2 from Live.

So does it not work to install it from a cd?

The update is not on the game disc, it has to be downloaded through XBL

No, I meant I got the update files from the website, burned them onto a cd, then put that in my xbox and installed it from there.
