How do I do more quests

"You may quest the way you like, I will quest the way I like...."

*trips down stairs*

I mainly stick to the main quest but if I come across a cave or something on my way to the quest I will go in and clear it.

I wander from place to place, but I've got that many quests to do now I only have a few shown on the map to avoid going to the wrong place. If there's a few quests in roughly the same area I'll try to do them all one after the other.



Sometimes I just wander around exploring random places to see whats in it. There was one house I went in turned out to have a huge tunnel system under it filled with bandits and some nice loot at the end.

I have done a few quests that I have gotten from books/notes, but I am mostly just wandering around and mercilessly slaughtering anything and everything in my path.

I've been pretty much exploring the area around Whiterun and trying to complete quests as I get them. I have done a few initial quests for the Companions and learned about what they "really" are. They accepted me as a member, but I still have a ways to
go to get their "gift". I've deviated off the main quest for a while now and after I deal with a nearby dragon location, I plan on returning to the main quest to go find that horn for the Greybeards.
