How do I disable quick resume?

Quick Resume cannot be disabled, it is a core feature of the system and an option to turn it off hasn't been implemented at this time. To send feedback to Team Xbox regarding Quick Resume, use the Report a Problem app on your console: https://support.xbox.com/help/account-profile/manage-account/xbox-insider-hub-report-a-problem

If you don't have the app on your Xbox, download it for free: Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select Store. Select Search, and then enter Xbox Report a Problem in the search box. Choose the app from the search results, and then select Download.

Then, press and hold the Xbox button, and select Report a problem to launch the Report a Problem app. Select Report new problem > Continue with standard diagnostics. Follow the steps on-screen to complete your report.

To avoid loss of progress, make sure to save your game before turning off your console or switching to another game, even when the game is in QR.

This would be a decision made by the game's developer or publisher and not Xbox.

Disabling quick resume is being explored, but there is no ETA on when it will happen or even if it can. Quick resume is baked into the hardware at very low level and may not be able to be disabled.

I can understand exactly how you feel. I be loading into Apex Legends and get disconnected, It would nice if quick resume was toggle able

Games that support quick resume automatically add when you start them. There’s no way to disable quick resume

I just delete it after I manually quit the game every time.
