How do i disable create new desktop? or just the entire desktop thing in general

Yes powertoys is the way👍

But now I've the same problem with a twist. If I press the spacebar after pressing the win+ctrl then it ignores the remapping and if then I press d then it opens a new virtual desktop which got me killed in game so many times. Now this new shortcut 'win+ctrl+space+d' which also opens a new virtual desktop can't be disabled using power toys cuz it only supports upto 3 key shortcut remappings.

I'm lost and trying to find a way to disable virtual desktops completely which is also seems kinda impossible🙂

Download PowerToys from this Microsoft Store: https://aka.ms/getPowertoys

Click on 'Keyboard Manager' in the sidebar and turn on the 'Enable Keyboard Manager'.

Then select 'Remap a shortcut' > 'Add shortcut remapping'. Click the Select button to the left and press Ctrl + Win + D, then click OK.

Under 'To send:' make sure 'Key/Shortcut' is chosen then open the drop-down menu under that selection. Scroll through the list to select 'Undefined'. Make sure 'Target app' is set to 'All Apps'.

Once you've done this, click OK, and now this key combination should do nothing. You can of course apply this method to other keyboard shortcuts too.

Have you tried to create a shortcut for the games on the desktop and try to launch it from there?

On the Xbox App > Right click on the game > Create a desktop shortcut.

Let me know how it goes.

How does one does that? What do you mean by "open a new desktop from windows desktop bar"?
