How do I delete a deceased parent account

In this case you may need to recover the account password using the different ways to do it:

1. Reset the account password from here:

https://account.live.com/password/reset

If you have the email, enter it and proceed

If not, you can try all the emails you remember or if the parent had a phone number attached to the account, you can use that too.

2. Recover the account via Account Recovery Form if you're not able to reset the password using the link above:

https://account.live.com/acsr

Unfortunately regular Microsoft support can’t help you with this specific concern due to privacy and security policies, they can't access to any account info and share it with you

Sorry for your loss in these trying times I know it can be difficult in handling etc for a deceased member. Here is a link you can follow. Once this is done an agent can transfer rights to you etc for billing if you prefer. Adding the profiles for your

I accidentally deleted the parent account, not knowing that it WAS the parental account and I have no idea on how to get it back or change the settings for my child account
