    How do I delete a cloud save file


    I'm currently trying to delete a save for a game called "Sunset Overdrive" and I can delete the local save but every time I go back into the game to make a new save it syncs the old save from the cloud and I can't find a way to delete the save and start over

    (I'm on Xbox Series X)

    We have a player that perform the following and it worked:

    For all of the other people having this problem, please follow the steps listed in this thread.

    I don't know whether or not my observations will be the same as what you experience, but here's what happened with me. I played the game for a few hours with my preferences set to offline. I then quit the game, logged out of my account, and then unplugged the Xbox for a few minutes.

    Plugged it into the socket, fired it up, set my settings to online, and launched the game. When the synchronization was in progress I canceled it. Then a two-choice dialog appeared on the screen which alerted me that the game I'm currently playing does not match the game stored on the cloud. Obviously I chose to stick with the game currently underway. It overwrote the cloud save.

    SO .... I'm all set. Super frustrating that these simple steps aren't posted right on the Xbox One help section. All that time and frustration was a waste.

    Hey Mauro, I've just tried that, I deleted all the saves and I tried to load in and it resynced the save back on my console all over again, what should I do?

    Hi Gamervsgaming.

    My name is Mauro and am glad to assist you.

    You can manage your data for individual games through My games & apps on your Home screen. Here's how:
    On Home, select My games & apps.
    Highlight the game, press the Menu  button on your controller, then select Manage game & add-ons.
    Select the Saved data box, then choose the item you want to delete.

    Game crash to Home Screen

    I've figured out how to delete the game, so that is solved. Deleted the game and reinstalled it, but does not fix the problem.

    It seem like it has to do with the profile's saved game, which is stored on the cloud. In order to delete the saved file on the cloud, you have to do it in game. But I some of us are not able to even get to a screen that allows us to even view the saved
    files....sigh.
