How do I create a Microsoft account?

Please, attempt it via the website:

https://www.xbox.com/

Click on the Profile Icon on the top right.

On the next window, click on "Create One"

You can then use an existing e-mail or select "Obtain a new e-mail address" to create a new Microsoft E-mail Account.

I recommend you pick the option to "Obtain a new e-mail address", to avoid the issues you are having.

In case you are creating a new one, type in the desired e-mail name and click "Next".

Create a password and click "Next"

Type in your Name and Surname and click "Next"

Select your Country, and then, set your Birth Date, when finished click on "Next".

You then will create your Xbox Profile.

Pick your desired gamertag and profile pic and click on "Next".

Click Let's Go and you are all set.

Back on your console, sign-in with the login information you just created.

detailed thread here that seems to be answered. To keep it all nice and neat here, let's keep this to one thread.

If you are underage then simply have your parental account sign in so they can adjust your settings.

I have the same question. On the Xbox 360 you could create accounts there were not tied to Xbox live. This allowed my guests to have their own avatars and play games with their own local profiles.

How do you do this on the Xbox One? Think of friends of my children who do not have email or Xbox live accounts.
