How do I connect my Xbox to my college dorm router

It is possible that the bedroom has some restriction and therefore the Xbox is not accepting the connection via Ethernet cable. Have you tried connecting it to all the LAN ports? Have you by any chance tried to connect via Wi-Fi?

I fixed the problem. I had the wireless MAC address in instead of the wired. Thank you for your help though. I appreciate it!

As mentioned in the message above, it is advisable to contact school tech-support, since if it supports Wi-Fi but does not accept the Ethernet Cable, it could not be a problem with the console but with the router.
