How do I configure the paddles as P1, P2, P3, P4?

It seems like what you have is an Xbox Elite Series controller. According to Xbox Support:

"P1, P2, P3, P4 paddles: For additional inputs, four paddles are snapped into the sockets found at the very bottom on the back of the controller"

Also, here's the default mapping that you can definitely customize:

P1 = B

P2 = Y

P3 = A

P4 = X

Just make sure the paddles are on the controller correctly and are pressing the little button under them. also, make sure that they have an assigned button in the Xbox accessories app.

Not sure what you mean, my ISP is a DHCP cable modem going into p2, my LAN is on p3. The Xbox is on a wired connection into a switch that goes into p4 which is bridged with p3 and the two trust each other. No other devices on that switch are having issues.

ok got a vid last about 11 mins but you can just skip to 8 mins or so shows what happens
