When you sign up for a Microsoft account or add an email address to your account, we automatically send a request to that email for you to verify that we have the right address. To finish the process, just follow the verification link in the email. If you need a new verification email:

Sign in to Manage how you sign in to Microsoft.

A Verify button will be next to any unverified aliases.

Click Verify next to your email address, and then click Send email.

Do you remember how many points it was for?

Have you already checked your Microsoft Account e-mail as well as the e-mail that's listed under the
contact preferences (if different). Make sure to check in the inbox and the spam folders as sometimes these points are also sent via e-mail.
