How do i change upnp if router doesnt allow me to

Upnp not on. My t mobile hot spot does not have router config options so how do enable upnp without it so i can use xbox app on xbox 1x to install appys

My friend also has t-mobile internet and runs into the same issue as well. Unfortunately there isnt a fix. since the tmobile internet runs off cell towers and effectively puts you behind whats called "cgnat" (look it up), you don't have your own public ip address and therefore can't do things like upnp or port forwarding.

My buddy has essentially always had either a moderate or strict nat type for years ever since switching to tmobile internet.

And if i try to use hotspot it doesnt have the necessary upnp

I have already tried all these steps but nothing is working.I do have UPNP on my router but it doesnt seem to help out much

Having same problem. Just started getting kicked off in the last 48 hours. Called support. Had me run a test and got a MAT error. No settings on the modem or router have changed UPnP is enabled. What is the problem and how do I fix it? Modem and router up

Unfortunately I don’t know how to enable UPnP on this particular router. Although I’m unfamiliar with the name, I’ll do my best to help!

The manufacturer manuals that came with the router should have instrutions on how to do this.

There should be an option to enable/disable UPnP in advanced network settings on your router. Although, all router settings and ISPs are different, so this may not be supported or an option for your router. I can’t seem to find any tutorials or guides on
enabling UPnP for the router in question. I also can’t seem to find any assistance with this on their website.

To change your router settings, you’ll need to type in the router IP address into your browser and login with the usename and password. This will take you to the admin network settings page, from here you can adjust all the network settings for the router.
