How do I change the directory of a downloaded game from WindowsApps to C:\XboxGames without...

Thanks but the game used to load fine for me when it installed to C:\XboxGames but now that it installs to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps it hangs at launch 🤔

Edit: so for some reason today I can install games to C:\XboxGames and Star Wars now launches without issue. Nothing changed at my end, perhaps Microsoft made a change at their end?

Don't worry, if you're not able to see the WindowsApps folder, this means you not have any game installed there (some games uses WindowsApps instead XboxGames)

But just in case, enable hidden files and try looking again on your C: drive root

Windows is installed in Disk C and when i select the installation location to Disk D it creates Windowsapp,Program Files, Xboxgames foulders, i dont want the foulders random in Disk D without any kind of organization, i want to install the xbox app in a custom foulder inside Disk (D), How hard is to to be able to install Xbox app and games wherever i want just like any other gaming launcher?

Tell me a way on how to get xboxgames,windowsapp, program file all inside the costum foulder that i want, i really dont understand the necessity to create these useless foulders when installing a game.

All Windows Apps including games are installed to a hidden protected folder called WindowsApps. The WindowsApps folder on the C: drive will be located in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps. On other drives on the PC it will be in the root directory of the drive, so for D:\ it will be D:\WindowsApps

To use your D:\ drive again you'll need to take control of this hidden folder on your D:\ drive, and delete it.Take a look at this guide.

Remember however, that in your case you need to take permission of the WindowsApps folder on D:\ drive, there is no need to change anything on the WindowsApps folder on C:\ drive. Everything else in the guide is the same

Try to create another folder on the Program Files directory. Like C:\Program Files\XboxGames. Just make sure it's inside Program Files.
